By the way, it’s pretty amazing how many voice roles were done by one actor (Alexei Koltan): Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Lestrade, Lord Waterbrook, Chinese cook, Sgt. Baskerville, the policemen, the lackey and the narrator!

Robert Downey Jr and Guy Ritchie on the set of Sherlock Holmes in central London. They are seen walking around the set with Robert wearing his costume. At one point he puts his hat on a crew member and takes a photograph of him. He also appears to be preparing for a stunt at one point.

It was one of my favourite cartoons when I was a child.
Although the existing of the Italian opening, RAI-TV often broadcasted this english song.
To remenber one of the funniest toons I’ve ever seen!

Uno dei miei cartoni preferiti d’ infanzia. Nonostante esista la sigla italiana, la Rai ha quasi sempre mandato in onda la versione in inglese. Un ricordo di uno dei cartoni più spassosi che abbia visto!

Sherlock Holmes – The Awakened puts you in the shoes of the world’s most famous detective as he attempts to solve the mystery of a Cthulhu cult of the old gods.

“The Hound of the Baskervilles”(1981) – the best episode from the Soviet Sherlock Holmes TV-series. Vasiliy Livanov as Holmes and Vitaliy Solomin as Watson (probably, the best Watson EVER in cinema). Dr.Mortimer (Evgeniy Steblov) narrates the Baskervilles legend. (The great Russian actor Oleg Yankovsky who plays Stapleton in this movie can be also briefly seen as Hugo Baskerville in this sequence.)

In 1987, Muppet master, Jim Henson conducted an international workshop in Puppetry for Film and Television in Charleville-Mezieres, France. I just found another film, which is the 6th film recorded during that incredible course. www.puppetrynews.com

I had memories of this scene as a child, but it was only recently that I discovered the film it was from.

The material’s pretty dark, considering this was probably meant to be a kids movie, but what really stands out to me is the chant. Try listening to it just once, and see if it doesn’t get stuck in your head.

Sherlock Holmes confronts Arsène Lupin, the gentleman-burglar made famous by the literature series penned by French writer Maurice Leblanc. Arsène Lupin, whose exploits are enjoyed by millions of readers throughout the world, provides the perfect foil for Holmes as he attempts to pull off the ultimate heist.
