the Sherlock Holmes’ Symphony is my last fan video I wanted to post since a long time here ! I posted it only today ( 29/08/08 ) because first all , I prefered to take my time to make this fan video and wanted to make as good as I could .
So, on this video you can see several various moments ( films,cartoon,TV series, etc..) & a lot of various actors played the Great Detective ,like Jeremy Brett , Ian Richardson ,Christopher Lee ,Basil Rathbone,Peter Cushing ,Ronald Howard, Rupert Everett,Michael Pennington, Matt Frewer & others & others surprises …

Based on the Sir Authur Conan Doyle story “The Dancing Men”, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are placed in WWII europe to help protect a scientist and his invention from the Nazis.

By the way, it’s pretty amazing how many voice roles were done by one actor (Alexei Koltan): Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Lestrade, Lord Waterbrook, Chinese cook, Sgt. Baskerville, the policemen, the lackey and the narrator!

It was one of my favourite cartoons when I was a child.
Although the existing of the Italian opening, RAI-TV often broadcasted this english song.
To remenber one of the funniest toons I’ve ever seen!

Uno dei miei cartoni preferiti d’ infanzia. Nonostante esista la sigla italiana, la Rai ha quasi sempre mandato in onda la versione in inglese. Un ricordo di uno dei cartoni più spassosi che abbia visto!

I had memories of this scene as a child, but it was only recently that I discovered the film it was from.

The material’s pretty dark, considering this was probably meant to be a kids movie, but what really stands out to me is the chant. Try listening to it just once, and see if it doesn’t get stuck in your head.
